On Saturday 16th June, we will be holding the first ever Gala Night for Shelter NI, Belfast, a glamorous vintage extravaganza, headlined by James Huish and his 9 piece Michael Buble band. The Grand Ballroom of the Stormont hotel will be transformed into a music hall hotspot of yesteryear.
The gala night will raise funds for our latest project in which we are renovating vacant and derelict properties for housing for people in need.
This project will generate work for both employed and unemployed skilled tradesmen and apprentices and will provide affordable housing for homeless people and those in need of housing.
The event itself is inspired by the Magic Theatre events in the opulent surroundings of the Rivoli ballroom in London, one of the last remaining ballrooms in the UK. Guests are required to wear their finest vintage clothes of any era or to dress to impress.
It will be a night to remember, hosted by Belfast finest hostess Lady Portia, starting off with a show styled by Gullion Style Photography Events with models showing fashions from the 1920s, 30s and 40s and featuring performances from the Burlesque Belles.
Then James Huish and his Michael Buble band will take to the swinging stage and the dancing will commence with a retro DJ to follow.
Tickets are £30 each. Tables of 12 are available. Book online, email firstname.lastname@example.org or ring 028 9024 7752
