"El día de los muertos"
On Monday 28th October we held “El día de los muertos” which was a Mexican themed fundraiser night at “Whites Tavern” with multicultural dancers and music.
Dj Zorba hosted the night playing a really cool selection of tunes from salsa to spooky music and he also brought a bunch of his talented salsa dancers friends to show off their skills to the crowd. We want to thank Dj Zorba for all of his hard work and dedication during the organisation of the event and on the night itself.
We also had incredible flamenco performances from Maria and the rest of the dancers from Flamenco NI accompanied by a solo flamenco guitarist. We want to thank them for donating their time for our event.
Thanks also to the amazing face painter Caroline from Facemates NI, who donated her time and she transformed guests into more macabre beings for the evening.
Many thanks to the sponsors of our raffle prizes- Bohemian Vixen, who has donated beautiful costume jewellery, Crescent Arts Centre who donated a pair of tickets to “Dracula: the Panto”, Movie house Cinema who donated a pair of tickets for the cinema, “Allens Open Top tours” who donated two tickets for his scary “Ghost bus tour” and vouchers for delicious burritos from “Boojum”.
And thanks to Chalco´s Mexican Grill who has sponsored the “Best dressed price” with a meal for two.
We would like to thank also Centra supermarket for donating all the tasty tortilla chips for the event.
We would like to thank “Whites Tavern” who donated their room upstairs to the event, free of charge.
Thank you so much for supporting Shelter NI in this event, we rely on our supporters to allow our good work to continue because anything could not have been possible without your help.

I look forward hearing from you
